Why Engineers Send Us the Hard Parts

  1. 01

Speed that is structural, not promised

Three shifts and ten in-house-trained programmers, running standardised new machines. That is why a recovery job can move from drawing to shipped part in two days rather than two weeks.

  2. 02

Compliance built in from day one

The quality management system is certified to AS9100D and the company is ITAR registered with the DDTC. The quality team is ASQ certified and handles MTR verification, process controls and AS9102 first article reports as routine work, not as an exception.

  3. 03

    One purchase order, finished part

Anodize, chem film, passivation, electroless nickel, silver plating, part marking, heat treat, welding and NDT run through a controlled vendor network. If you have an approved vendor list, we work inside it.

Turnaround

How We Turn Parts in Two Days

Most shops quote lead time from the day the machine is free. Halcyon was built backwards from the deadline.

  1. 01

Ten programmers across three shifts. Programming is the real bottleneck in quick-turn work, not spindle time. Halcyon trains its own programmers through an accelerated internal program and runs them around the clock, so a job entering at 6pm is cutting before morning.

  2. 02

Standardised, current machinery. Every CNC on the floor is new and standardised, which means a program written for one machine runs on another without revalidation. Capacity moves to the urgent job instead of the job waiting for a specific spindle.

  3. 03

Pallet systems for lights-out running. Eight-pallet 5-axis cells keep cutting overnight and through weekends, adding hours to the schedule that a manned shop does not have.

Thousands of parts have moved through this process, for engineers getting ahead of a milestone and for buyers recovering a program that slipped.

Industries

Programs We Support

  • Aerospace

Flight and ground hardware to AS9100D, with AS9102 first article reporting.

  • Defense

ITAR-registered, CAGE-coded, and set up for controlled drawings and DFARS material.

  • Semiconductor

Tight-tolerance components for equipment builders across Silicon Valley.

  • Medical

Repeatable, documented production for regulated device programs.

  • Automotive

    APQP and PPAP-supported volume runs.

Quality and compliance

Built for Buyers Who Have to Justify the Supplier

Halcyon’s quality management system is certified to AS9100D and the company is ITAR registered with the U.S. Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Planning, maintenance, quoting, work orders and training run through the Jobboss² ERP system. First article reports, inspection planning and calibration records are managed in Net Inspect, so documentation arrives with the parts rather than three weeks later.

Inspection equipment

  • Zeiss Spectrum 7/10/6 coordinate measuring machine
  • Mitutoyo PH-A14 optical comparator with edge detection
  • Mitutoyo LH-600E digital height gauge

Process

Six Controlled Steps, Every Job

The same documented sequence runs whether the order is one prototype or ten thousand parts.

  1. 01

    Quoting

Manufacturability reviewed against the print before a price is issued.

  2. 02

    Document control

Revisions, customer specifications and controlled data locked to the job.

  3. 03

    Material control

Certified stock traced from approved vendors, with mill certs where required.

  4. 04

    Manufacturing

Programmed, cut and in-process inspected against the routed plan.

  5. 05

    Corrective action

Non-conformances driven to root cause, not patched.

  6. 06

    Calibration

Gauges and CMM maintained on schedule so measurements stand up to audit.

Why Halcyon Exists

Aerospace and defense buyers often assume a large machining operation means more capacity. Size and capacity are not the same thing. Complex requirements change mid-program, and a smaller shop that can adapt and solve the problem is worth more to a customer than a bigger one that cannot.

Halcyon was named to the 2026 Inc. 5000 at No. 1,808, on three-year growth of 192%.

Send Us the Part Nobody Else Will Quote

Upload a drawing and a Halcyon engineer will review manufacturability and return a quote. Prototype, production or recovery work — the same team, the same documented process.
